2025
NORDEN FESTIVAL 2025
At the NORDEN Festival in Schleswig in September 2025, visitors had the chance to discover the vibrant world of natural colors in a workshop session. During my Bundle Dye Workshop, participants learned how to dye textiles using flower petals, onion skins, and logwood, creating their own unique bandanas.
It was an incredibly productive afternoon: in just four hours, more than 100 individual, bright bandanas were created! I am especially proud that all the bandanas were upcycled from vintage bed sheets and tablecloths, giving old textiles a beautiful new life.
SUMMER RESIDENCY AT IN KÜRZE KUNST
In July and August, I was the Artist in Residence at the art association IN KÜRZE KUNST in Flensburg. Throughout the summer, visitors were invited to explore sustainable design strategies and natural dyes as well as their fascinating history. Alongside hosting several hands-on workshops, I opened my studio for the public to browse my dye journals, botanical samples, and curated library on natural colors and fungi. It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase my process, engage in meaningful dialogue, and offer my unique, naturally dyed pieces for sale.
NATURAL DYE WORKSHOP AT CONSCIOUS FASHION STORE BERLIN
I had a wonderful time hosting a natural dye workshop during Berlin Fashion Week at the COSH! pop-up opening event, held in the Conscious Fashion Store Berlin.
Together, we transformed upcycled bandanas using flower petals and other botanical dyes. The results were stunning, with each piece reflecting a completely unique pattern and a beautiful palette of colors. A huge thank you to everyone who joined me for these inspiring conversations about natural colors and the future of sustainable fashion!
SOMMER HYGGE 2025
From June 20th to 22nd, 2025, the SOMMER HYGGE festival brought a vibrant energy to the center of Flensburg. Under my guidance, participants of all ages had the chance to dye their own bags using natural materials such as onion skins, flowers, and logwood. Throughout the three-day event, I shared my knowledge of the natural dyeing process and fascinating facts about dye plants. It was a joy to see more than 400 people discover the world of natural colors and take home their own unique, hand-dyed creations. The interest and enthusiasm were truly overwhelming!
COLLABORATIVE FUNGI ART EXHIBITION
As the conclusion of the scientific project Mycobased at the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, I was invited, alongside other local artists, to create pieces inspired by mushrooms. The project explored the targeted use of regional food industry sidestreams to produce mushroom-based biomaterials.
For the FUNGI ART EXHIBITON in April 2025, I designed, sewed, and dyed a collection of eight pieces titled A DIALOGUE WITH NATURE. My work focuses on the symbiotic life of fungi, such as the vital relationship
between fungi and trees. I find this "giving and takin" and the concept of harmonious coexistence deeply inspiring. To me, a community based on mutual support and exchange, in rhythm with natural cycles, represents a truly future-oriented way of living. Fungi, as one of Earth's oldest life forms, demonstrate just how successful symbiosis can be. The garments in this collection were crafted from leftover fabrics and repurposed materials, dyed with natural pigments or inoculated with live mushroom cultures.

WORKSHOP SERIES AT DIE MÜRWIKER: EMBRACING CREATIVITY THROUGH NATURAL DYES
In March 2025, I concluded an inspiring series of five workshops at Die Mürwiker in Flensburg, designed to empower individuals with disabilities through creativity and hands-on experience. These sessions were about more than just practical skills; they fostered a deep sense of community and provided a vibrant space for personal expression. Throughout the series, participants delved into the rich cultural history of natural dyes, exploring various techniques and botanical materials. Each session featured engaging activities, such as interactive quizzes with dye samples and dried plants, which helped deepen our collective understanding of the natural world.
A true highlight was the transformation of plain bandanas and T-shirts into stunning pieces of wearable art. We also crafted beautiful Easter ornaments, allowing everyone to merge their newfound knowledge with their own artistic vision. From animal motifs to favorite flowers, the participants’ creativity knew no bounds. The supportive environment at Die Mürwiker encouraged true experimentation, leading many to discover entirely new ways of working with color. This journey was about much more than dyeing fabric, it was an empowering experience that showcased how vital creativity is for personal development and for building a meaningful connection with nature.
PARTICIPATION IN IFFS 2025
In January 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the 20th International Fungi and Fibre Symposium in the enchanting town of Teror, Gran Canaria. Surrounded by the island's vibrant natural beauty, I delved into the fascinating world of mushroom dyes and explored the magic of these unique, organic hues. Beyond the technical skills, the highlight was connecting with a global community of inspiring women. Sharing our love for natural dyeing and the environment made this experience truly
special. I returned home with so much inspiration and new knowledge to share in my upcoming workshops.
