NATURAL DYE WORKSHOP

In this three-day workshop by the Kinder­Technik Akademie at the Museum Tuch + Technik, we will discover the world of natural dyes together! It is all about plants that can be used to dye fabrics. We will learn about the historical background of these dyes and talk about their origins. Step by step, we will dye textiles together, experimenting with different techniques and colors. As a result, you will take at least one self-dyed textile home with you. You have the option to bring your own garment or textile (preferably in white) for dyeing. Please make sure that it consists of 100 % natural fibers (e.g. cotton, linen, wool, silk).
