DEEP DIVE INTO NATURAL COLORS

During this engaging and informative workshop, you will learn how to dye textiles with vibrant natural colors step by step. Starting from the essential equipment you need and how to pretreat your textiles. You will explore the various mordants used in the process, learning to mordant textiles and accurately measure the right amount of mordant solution.

You will also have the opportunity to delve deeper into the world of dye materials, discovering where to find dye plants in your everyday life. Together, we will create a dye bath using one dye material, allowing you to dye a beautifully unique bandana.

You will also have the chance to dye a bandana with the bundle dye method. Before dyeing your final textile you have the chance to create dye samples.

While the fabrics are soaking in the dye bath you will learn more about the history of dye materials to gain comprehensive knowledge about the world of natural dyes.

All dye materials, equipment, textile samples, and two pretreated bandanas will be provided by me and are included in the workshop session. In addition, snacks and drinks will be available to keep you energized throughout this workshop. This ensures that each participant has ample time to absorb all the knowledge and skills being shared.
