RETHINKING DESIGN: INSIGHTS INTO NATURAL DYEING AND TEXTILE DESIGN

I'm a passionate natural dyer and fashion designer. Over the years, I've learned a lot about natural dyes and dye plants, and in my design work I use strategies such as upcycling existing garments. I've gotten to know German dye plants in depth, and in Mexico I learned from natural dye experts and discovered traditional Mexican dye materials. There I worked with the NGO NI EN MORE, a women-led social project focusing on women's empowerment, and gained experience working in an intersectional, international team.

In my talks, I share how natural dyeing works and how it shapes my design work, including dye plants, working with existing garments, my time in Mexico.
